Hi there

unit USetting;

interface

uses
  System.SysUtils, System.Types, System.UITypes, System.Classes, System.Variants,
  FMX.Types, FMX.Controls, FMX.Forms, FMX.Graphics, FMX.Dialogs, FMX.StdCtrls,
  FMX.Controls.Presentation, FMX.Edit, FMX.Objects;

type
  TForm2 = class(TForm)
    Edit1: TEdit;
  private
    { Private declarations }
  public
    { Public declarations }
  end;

var
  Form2: TForm2;

implementation

{$R *.fmx}

end.

when app open on mobile and I press over edit it produce Clicking on segmentation fault.
So, what is wrong there? I am had breaking my mind looking for the causes without sucess.

Thanks in advance

While I don't knwo the cause: did you already search in
quality.embarcadero.com whether there is a bug report about this?

If not, you might want to file one. EMBT usually reacts one way or the
other within a few days.

Another thing which might help to shed more light on the issue:

in your Android SDK there's a file named monitor.bat.
Run this and wait a bit. This will open a GUI which provides (among
other things) access to the log of your connected Android device.

Then run your app and provoke that segfault. In some cases you will see
some messages about this in the log. Those might be helpful to determine
the cause. I'm also a bit unsure about your formulation above. What does
it mean exactly?

You run the app and then press on the edit with your finger and get a crash?

Which Android version do you run, which device and which keyboard?

I'm interested in that topic as well, but I didn't test whether it
happens with my devices yet.

Greetings

Hi Markus,

I am testing with device android 5.1.
And yes, i just compile and run app directly on my device, press my finger on Edit and get that error on IDE.

So, I will try your suggestion but already i had read such issue on many post on internet and nobody gave responsive answer for that.
