Will there be a release of BDE for 10.2.2 ? We can't update without it.

The BDE has been released as a separate download from your registered downloads
section of the edn website. The BDE no longer ships as part of the product,
probably never will. It was deprecated nearing 20 years ago.

Hello and thank you for your answer,

I know the BDE was made available as a separate download but that version does not work because the system.generics.* it has been compiled against have been changed and it no longer works in 10.2.2. Since package is missing some source code and OBJs, it cannot be recompiled either.

BTW, I know fully well that we should move away from the BDE and I've done my uttermost to persuade my boss to assign ressource to that project but to no avail. I must, therefore, live with that and required an updated BDE or we won't be able to update to the latest version.

I've got the same problem here. Unit Bde.DBTables was compiled with a different version of System.Generics.Collections.TArray.Sort.

We still require the BDE for our "datapump" and for some data exchange. Our main product is still on SQL.

Best regards,

Stefan

I have passed this along, they are aware of it. This interface change is
affecting more than just the BDE add-on. I was told they are fixing the
generics part. I do not know if that means fixing the BDE side of things or
more likely they are fixing the generics dcu interface change breaking more than
the BDE.

They updated on the 17th the iso and fixed the dcu breaking change.

"This CodeCentral entry was updated on Dec 17, 2017

We have updated RAD Studio 10.2.2 to address an issue that caused
incompatibility problems for a number of third party components. This build
(build 2004) replaces the previously released RAD Studio 10.2.2 build (build
1978). The updated 10.2.2 build requires a full uninstall and reinstall."
