Hi with Interbase 17.17 I try to perfom an Onlinedump on a remote server but I get
'error 335544344 Access denied when try to create database'.
In windows Explorer I can access and write in remote directory.
I tried using mapped drive but I got Impossible to find path, so I changed path to form with
servername
... and get this new error.
Remote server has not installed Interbase.

Online dumps cannot be done remotely nor to a mapped drive.
I should have said stored to a remote drive. The process can be kicked off
remotely, but the files must be written to a drive local to the server doing the
dump.
They have the same rules as DB locations wrt the server. This is a limitation of the service API. GBak, run in service mode (-se switch), should give the same error. GBak run with direct access might work like it will back up to a remote machine when not using the -se switch.
