I seem to be missing something....

I have a sample application that gets a list of employees from a database.

At Design time I can change the CachedUpdates to true and I have been able to get the database to record the number of changes.

After setting the FilterChanges at design time I would like to turn on the Filter at runtime... I get an error " must be in cached update mode"
I have set the Cachedupdates switch before making the filter change, but, I still get this error.

I would like to find the updates quickly so I can post the changes to local temporary storage in an interbase database.

I've had a tough time setting the FilterChanges at runtime

A C++ example sure would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
