EmptyDataSet() Trick..?

When I run EmptyDataSet() and then count the records it does not work in some cases.

What do I need to do so the command can be successful? It looks like I have been able to make it work in some cases, but, I would like to know what is absolutely required to make it work.

Thanks in advance.

Just close it and open it if you want to flush the cache. IIRC when I was
helping someone with this issue the indexes are not rebuilt/cleared correctly on
the EmptyDataset in some cases.

Hello Jeff:

I decided to use an ExecSQL("DELETE FROM TEMPSTAFF");

This cleared the database right away, but, for some reason the cursor stayed in the wait condition. Something missed I'm sure.

Can we interact with the wait cursor directly to set it back to normal?

No need to interact.
I am deleting records before opening a new form.
Once the form opened the cursor updated just fine.

Thanks for your input.
