Using TClientDataSet to load from .xml to database table

tclientdataset , tdatasetprovider , provider , client , loadfromfile , changecount , applyupdates

Hi,

It's very easy to export a database table to .xml using a TClientDataSet, but it doesn't seem very easy to reverse the process. After connecting the TClientDataSet to a TDataSetProvider, itself connected to the target database table, the TClientDataSet.LoadFromFile effectively inserts records into the previously empty TClientDataSet, but doesn't increment the ChangeCount. So ApplyUpdates does nothing. There are no errors.

Is it possible to do what I want to do with a TClientDataSet? Seems a rather basic ask...
