Hello everyone:

I'm moving our applications from C++ Builder 5 to XE6. In my first step, I'm moving using the BDE. Later we will move to something better.

When I set my query to active I get and error - Capability not supported. File or directory does not exist. File: C:\Windows\system32\_QSQL000.DBF Table does not exist. Permission denied.

If I take out the order by statement then it comes up. As long as I have the order by in the statement then I get the error.

Thanks for your help.

OK so the problem is that the BDE temp files are trying to sit in System32.

This will develop into a more permanent solution, but, for now, I am just running C++ Builder in Administrator mode.

All ok now.

John,

I am getting a similar problem. When I try to make the Query active, I get a message box stating:

Permission denied.
File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Del10.MB
Table: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Del10.MB
File or directory does not exist.
File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Del10.DB

How did you fix your problem.

I have a very simple SQL with no ORDER BY.
SELECT * FROM DeannaBP

Thank you...
