When i try to test a SQL in IbConsole's Interactive SQL
if there is a NON ASCII quoted character i'm getting below error msg.
( Same SQL works well in Delphi !! )

Error at line 1
arithmetic exception, numeric overflow, or string truncation
Cannot transliterate character between character sets

Thank You

Your error sounds like a character set problem. Are you specifying the same character set in your Delphi and IBConsole connections?

The Connect As Dialog in IBConsole allows you to select the display character set. It is documented here: http://docwiki.embarcadero.com/InterBase/XE7/en/IBConsole_Database_Menu

For your Delphi app, what are you using for connectivity (DBX, IBX, FireDac, etc)?
