I created a xls report and want to open it after it's done on the client side.

What would I do? I'm confused. I can open txt and images.

Thanks,

Ed

How do you want to open it on the server? That is what do you want to do
to it?

Hi Ed. I don't know exactly you are trying to do, but you can test two things.

1.try to show this report on a Modal window.

2.Send the report to browser/download them.

If you follow the example that Jose Nilton mentioned it should work if the user is able to open XLS files on his computer.

Meaning: your application user must have some program capable of opening Excel files (Excel, OpenOffice, Excel Viewer, etc) installed on the same machine where the browser is. The server has no influence on it.
