Hello;

I built a service that need to access Internet; this application uses InternetQueryOption to know INTERNET_OPTION_PROXY settings.

But in some cases, our customers are installing our services for running under users spaces that does not have a console, and on those cases InternetQueryOption can't find any setting for INTERNET_OPTION_PROXY.

I think the problem is because server administrators does not set proxy settings for those users, but my questions are: can they set that settings and how?.

Thank you!

WinInet's proxy settings are configured on a per-user basis. A service
would have to be configured to run as a particular user in order to
access that user's settings.

Having a console or no console has nothing to do with a user's
configuration.

Sounds about right.

They have to be set on a per-user basis. There is no global proxy
configuration in WinInet.
