Hello,

which version of Delphi are you using?
In Tokyo they ruined Android performance by doing a big change in the
internal architecture. It got better with update 1 but not fuilly fixed.
Update 2 is planned for the near future (I've been told by some EMBT
person) and that person also claimed that performance will then be even
better than in Berlin.

Let's wait and see...

Greetings

Markus

don't do any thing on android with embercadero at all if you look for performance , use xamarin studio for such performance apps .

no, android with embarcadero is a very great tool (except with tokyo). i
have 60 fps frame rate on my instagram app, that is the maximum we can
achieve on android. it's just question of knowledge

lets agree to disagree , maybe you like its speed but no one will like its none native buggy performance , Tedit/Tmemo Crashed , listviewis laggy and crashed , bitmaps rendering is horrible in background/foreground switch , listbox is horrible performance , keyboard is not a layout friendly ! so you ned to align it always when ever the keyboard showing and manny manny more we can write a tail about its issues , for me i switched to xamarin and for design time that i spend 8 hours to adjust on Firemonkey it took 15 minutes in xamarin , beside its android friendly with its native look and feel in every thing specially the controls !

no force you to use their Tedit/tmemo :) you can use the native alcinoe
TALedit/tALMemo

, listviewis laggy and crashed ,

no one force you to use their listview :)

bitmaps rendering is horrible in background/foreground switch,

no one force you to use delphi bitmaps, because everything is on openGL,
so you can use any graphic suite you want (especially the os graphique
suite that is very good)

listbox is horrible performance,

don't use it, their is many alternative

keyboard is not a layout friendly !

onkeyboardshow
padding.bottom := rect.heigth

i don't find any problem doing this ?

so you ned to align it always when ever the keyboard showing and manny
manny more we can write a tail about its issues , for me i switched to
xamarin and for design time that i spend 8 hours to adjust on Firemonkey

it took 15 minutes in xamarin , beside its android friendly with its native look and feel in every thing specially the controls !

it's just question of taste ... me i spend 8 hours on xamarin where i
spend few minutes on delphi

but tokyo is not working on android that true ...

never have chance to test due to compiler error , no good documentation about using it properly into a project , you will say test the demo , demo itslef have the same xml error

res\values-v21\attrs.xml:5: error: Attribute "BlueBGTextViewStyle" has already been defined
