I am trying the RAD Server (EMS server) in RAD Studio 10.2.

I have successfully setup the Interbase XE7, EMS configuration file, EMS system database. All are working fine in a single PC.

I would like to keep the interbase system database in another host and run the ems server in another host.

The similar approach has shown in Pawel Glowacki's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o-UmBPtoXc

I guess I might need the EMS license to setup this in production environment. As the license price is rather high, I would like to try first before purchasing.

If I System Database and EMS server are install in separate host, how should I purchase the license? Should I purchase two licenses: Interbase and EMS server for two hosts?

Thank you

I think this is the wrong group for your question.
Maybe even contact EMB directly.

Or even post a comment on that youtube page and somebody will reply or
even Pawel himself will reply.

This is what EMBT said when I asked about a RAD Server trial:

"There is - and it's included with RAD Studio Ent+ (this means the enterprise or architect platform level).

The deployed ISAPI module is limited with a timer that forces it to be reset frequently, but it can be used to trial the deployed server."

Whether that is included with the RAD Studio Ent. Trial is unknown.

I installed the RAD Studio trial on a Google Cloud box to try to find out but I think I didn't do it right because I have two instances of InterBase and RAD Server ISAPI tells me I don't have a license.

I can split the interbase and ems server now by changing the Database entry in emsserver.ini file to :

Database=192.168.0.17:C:\Users\Public\Documents\Embarcadero\EMS\emsserver.ib
