Hello,

I would like to use C++ Builder Berlin to create a program which could fetch data from financial web site. I would like to reach the goal with XML object since it makes data transfer faster, but I don't find XML VCL on C++ Builder Berlin.

1. I found there is a VCL object TXMLDocument for C++ Builder. Where do I download it?
2. Why does C++ Builder Berlin not offer XML object? Is there any other alternate VCL object to reach similar goal? To fetch figure faster from web site.

¿Which edition of C++Builder do you have?
TXMLDocument is in the Internet category of the Tool Pallete.

I don't know if this conmponent is available in C++Builder Starter edition.

Hello,

Thank you for reply.
I originally use C++ Builder 10.1 Berlin Starter edition. I just found 10.2 Tokyo Starter edition offers TXMLDocument in the Internet category of the Tool Pallete, so I will use 10.2 Tokyo instead.
Thank you very much.

I find it hard to believe that TXMLDocument is not available in Berlin
starter, but would be available in Tokyo Starter. TXMLDocument has
been around for a very long time.

However, there are tons of 3rd party XML APIs/libraries available. You
don't need to spend tons of money upgrading your IDE just to gain XML
support. There are other free/cheap solutions readably available.
