jquery It is possible to toggle the visibility of an element, using the functions .hide(), .show() or .toggle().

How would you test if an element is visible or hidden?

What do you mean by "visible or hidden"?

Element can be visible in theory (i.e. it doesn't have "visibility: hidden" or "display: none" style attributes), however it can be somehow hidden by other elements, or outside the screen.
