Hello everybody,

From running my applications on Windows 10 ( and Win 8.1 ) they work only if always in use, when user leave application alone ( 10min is enough) , that application freeze and only task manager can close. The same .exe execute on win xp, win 7 work well.

I tried to execute in all emulation mode but still freeze.

Does anybody Know why and How Resolve?

Thanks
Matthew Jones

Get madExcept, and enable the freeze detection. It will take a snapshot of the call stack for every thread when it detects a freeze.
Most likely a deadlock somewhere.

I support Matthew's advice about MadExcept but I would also say that if you want assistance a bit more information is required - eg what is the application doing, does the PC go to sleep withing the 10 minute timeframe?

Thanks for reply, but Doesn't matter what the application do, because any application written in Delphi 2007 freeze!! but never happen on Windows 7 and earler.

I don't use anything external except ZeosLib ( 6.30 ) ,
Using ttimer enabled freeze quickly.

Show the code in the TTimer's event since, according to your comment above, that's probably where the freeze is

Noting that TTimer is re-entrant. That can catch a lot of people out. madExcept will show this is the case if so.
