Deleting current record with fdtable

I have duplicate records in a table and I would like to delete only one of the duplicates.

I'm thinking of opening a table after identifying the duplicates,
putting the table on one record and deleting it.

As I understand it this should work the same way it used to in the BDE.

When I set it up at design time the table opens just fine.

When I try to open the table at runtime, it fails, every time?

I have been using fdQuery for some time, but, this is the first time I'm using fdTable.

???Hmmm??

Any Help

My FDTable components work just fine in both design and runtime. Except for the ODBC variant I setup to link with a Visual Foxpro database table. There I had to disable some metadata options before it would work in runtime.

What kind of error(s) do you get?

As a side note. Are these records fully duplicate, as in every field value matches in the two records? Because, if that's the case, I doubt that TFDTable is able to remove just one of them.

Hello Jan:

Thanks for your reply. For some reason the FDTable would not open unless I opened it during the show form event.
It is working now and I cleaned out my duplicate records with a small project I put together.

I will have to play with this some more, but, my immediate need has been met.
