I am in the process of upgrading some projects from Delphi2010 to DelpiXE7.
The project runs on sql-server through Devart's dbExpress.
In our database there are some fields of type "real" - they were represented by TFloatFields in Delphi2010.
I have a lot of persistent fields in the projects,
With the new Devart-driver (trial-version so far) the fields will be TSingleFields.
I cannot login to Devart forums for some reason.

Should I change all my persistent fields to TSingleFields ?
Or should I try harder to get in contact with Devart - asking if this is an error ?

Devart has answered (as I got acces to the forum). It is correct that real has another implementation (fieldtype) with newer versions. The documentation was wrong, however.
