Hello there,
I am working in my first android project and I notice that Delphi XE7 only have a BluetoothLE component, and I want to connect to a device which only supports classic Bluetooth.
Will a BluetoothLE + tethering discover an auto connect to a regular (classic) Bluetooth device, which normally requires manual pairing?
Thanks
Jorge

Hello,

afaik XE7 also supports classic Bluetooth. There just might not be a non
visual component for it, but the support is afaik there!

So you could just do it via code.
You might want to look at the samples. There was a Bluietooth chat
sample which uses classic BT but I don't know when this was added.

But one thing's sure: you cannot mix classic BT and LE in the same
connection. They're too different!

Thank you Markus,
In my XE7, I searched for Bluetooth samples, but could not find any. I searched on line and found XE8 has a number of samples, but I don't have XE8.
I will appreciate very much if anyone has a classic Bluetooth code to share.
Jorge
