Hi,

I try to backup a database using TIBBackupService, but always I got the error:
"Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database administrator to set up an InterBase login."
even if I add user_name=SYSDBA and password=admin123

Notes:
I change SYSDBA default password to "admin123" and I use "Embedded User Authentication" in the database file, with user name: SYSDBA and same password as IB Server: admin123

The error appears only when try to use Interbase XE7. Interbase Express 18.18.,

Safwan.

Search your system for a gds32.dll that is old. This problem occurs when
using an InterBase client older than XE3 when connecting to XE3 or later
server. It is due to how strong passwords got added in XE3. While it is
possible to make older clients work with a newer server, the easiest
solution is to make sure you are using a new client.
