Sorry, but I am really confused. I have been on RAD Studio maintenance for many years. Does that mean I have an update subscription?

Second question would be how to install XE8 Update 1 from scratch as a maintenance customer. Which download do I have to choose? I don't want to install the original XE8 which I got via maintenance and then update it.

Sorry if I should have been able to get this info from elsewhere, I did try but was unable to.

As you can see here:

What happens if I already have Support and Maintenance?
If you are currently on Support and Maintenance, you will be automatically be updated to the Update Subscription plan – you don't have to do anything. Just sit back and enjoy the additional benefits of Update Subscription.

If you go to the Maintenance Portal now you should have a link to the Update 1 Subscription installer (don't install XE8 as you have to uninstall it before installing the update). Anyway you can download it from:

Delphi and C++Builder XE8 ISO (includes Subscription Update 1)

If you have more doubts I suggest you to open a support case under http://support.embarcadero.com/forms
