The upgrade to XE7 Delphi Enterprise is so expensive.

1225.00 pounds

https://store.embarcadero.com/542/purl-dbanner

Should be half the price.

I bought PyCharm and Intelli-J recently. No brainer.

Nice entry level prices and open handed approach.

Good quality software.

It is overpriced even more, I think 5 times :-).
EMBT exists thanks to legacy projects and existing users.
Their current policy, every year XE n - > XE n+1 directs to dead end. They do business a way from previous century. Same tricks, since years. Prepared for existing loyal users. It means most is sold to them, new users and markets are in minority. On the otherside, afaik EMBT is owned by investment fund. Investors expect money, more is better. Of course, this is my personal opinion.

Hello,

seems you're missing the SA pricing sheme which is the cheapest way if
you always need to stay on the newest version and additionally they
introduced the recharge model additionally.

And if you only need certain platforms and no VCL then there's Appmethod
at a fraction of the price.

Greetings

Where are the SA and recharge prices? I can't find them on the online store.

Hello,

that question should go to your local EMBT representative...

I think you are thoroughly mistaken there. That may be the case for you
and some others you know, but generally, that is wrong.

Good quality software.

But that has one big disadvantage: it is not Delphi. <g>

If you have XE6, you could take the Recharge option, which is only
about half the upgrade price, AFAIK.

I have Delphi XE3 so the recharge option is not available.

Perhaps the Professional version would work for you? You obviously are interested in features, etc of Delphi that these other two tools are not providing you, so perhaps the professional version might fullfil your needs?
