I have a Delphi 2007 DLL project and when deployed to certain customers, the dll is being flagged as a trojan. The dll is used as part of our update system to download files. Is there anyway to avoid this or any obvious reasons why its being detected?

A number of popular AntiVirus systems falsely flag Delphi apps as infected
when they really are not.

Nope. Best you can do is add exceptions to the AntiVirus apps to ignore
your apps on a per-PC basis, and submit your app to AntiVirus vendors for
analysis so they can tweak their engines.

or any obvious reasons why its being detected?

False heuristic results that happen to match known virus signatures.

You could get an authenticode certificate and sign your applications.
This helped me with Sophos quarantining my DLL plugins.
