Is it possible to get a copy of Delphi 7 with a new license? I have
purchased a licensed copy of Delphi XE4 in 2013.

Once you have entered your XE4 license to activate earlier versions, you
can then login to your EDN account and see the Delphi 7 license in the "My
registered products" section and the Delphi 7 ISO in the "My registered user
downloads" section.

Hi,

Long time Delphi developer here but a potential new employer has Delphi 7 Enterprise. Being an unsupported legacy product, they used to have a way to download it and use it for free (also could get Borland Turbo Pascal).

Is anyone aware of this offer anywhere? There are "free" sites to get it but they've bunded it with their spamware. I just want the real thing so I can work from home on it.

Thanks,
Ron

No Delphi version is usable for free, except some old and heavily
crippled test/home versions. AFAIR a D7 license is included in newer
Delphi versions, i.e. for D7 Enterprise you have to obtain an newer
Delphi Enterprise version. It may be necessary to claim a D7 license
just after obtaining such a new license. A registered user can download
all his licensed versions after login to the Embarcadero site.

Modern Delphi versions include licenses for legacy products:

http://www.embarcadero.com/products/delphi/previous-versions

Once you enable this, old versions can then be downloaded from your EDN account.
A few months ago, I used this feature to download Delphi 7 Enterprise and
install it in a VM, and it works fine.
