Excuse me if this is a dup, but I searched and could not find anything.
I have a service compiled into and installed from the project output exe directory on the local machine (compiled in berlin10.1 update 2)
All indications are that I should be able to attach to the running service using the "attach to Process" menu item.
However, the service is running but does not show on the drop down list of avalable processes.

How do I get the service to show up in the list of available processes?

project dpr is in Project
dcus are in project\dcuout
exe is in project\exe
source is in project\units

Thanks for any assistance

Correct. That is what I do when I debug my services.

However, the service is running but does not show on the drop
down list of avalable processes.

Are you enabling the "Show system processes" option in the "Attach to
Process" dialog? If not, you need to.

Thank you. I was able to get the service to appear when I ran Berlin as administrator.
However, my break points where green and the ide got the cpu windo on attaching, but never took the break points. Thoughts?
Progress I suppose

Hmm, ok. I don't run my IDEs as an admin, but then I don't run them on
UAC-enabled systems, either. I guess it makes sense that elevated
admin rights would be needed to access a service process, though.

That is normal. I just press F9, or click the Run button, to continue
debugging, and it works fine.

but never took the break points. Thoughts?

I don't use Berlin, so I can't comment on that.
