Well, I thought they said it was fixed, but again, when going from Update 1 to Update 2, IT DID NOT SAVE MY COMPONENTS and other items and settings.

I thought the installer was suppose to ask? It didn't.

Fortunately I assumed that it still might be broken and exported my registry again so I could import it after installing update 2: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Embarcadero

I sure hope they fixed the high DPI issues in the VCL..... but I'm betting they didn't. Having to go backwards and release my software without high DPI support was ridiculous when my previous version made with XE6 worked.

UPDATE: And then I had to apply this fix: https://community.embarcadero.com/article/articles-support/174-rad-studio/installation-registration/16436-issues-with-winapifamily-h-and-other-header-files-after-installing-c-builder-10

Hello,

obviously the problem is not present for all users.

I upgraded from Update 1 to Update 2 using the ISO installer (because
that's what I used when installing Update 1). And the uninstall had a
setting to keep the registry settings (which was enabled by default) and
it did work.

I also did a backup of the BDS registry settings and used the migration
tool to save the settings. But the update did not remove any component.

Only the boost update did destroy my include path:
<https://quality.embarcadero.com/browse/RSP-16333>
I corrected the path settings using the migration tool and all was well.

Regards

Hans
