What does it mean if the Anchors property is in bold print vs. being in non-bold print? The control that has the anchors in bold print does not display correctly either so the anchors being in bold must be a clue of some kind.

Yes, it's a clue that the property doesn't contains the default value.
The object inspector bolds every property that doesn't have its default
value.
