Hi all,

On my Delphi Berlin 10.1.2 install, when I go to Project -> Options and select the Version Info tab, there is a 'Language' section, with a Locale and a drop down list. It is currently set to English (United States), and every time I change it to English (United Kingdom) it ignores it - i.e. it changes, but when I click OK then re-open the dialogue box, it is back as US. How do I get it to stay changed?

I've looked at the various help files and it mentions that it is dependent on the locales installed on my Windows machine - I only have United Kingdom installed, and my BDS2006 (installed on the same machine) changes OK, and stays changed. It's only minor, I know.

Cheers,

Gerald.

It actually matters for which configuration you set the version info.
There is some weird behaviour if you have entered version information
at several levels of the configuration hierarchy. You should set as
much as sensible at the "all configurations - all platforms" level.

Unfortunately the only reliable way to get rid of extra version info
entries in the project options is to edit the DPROJ file with a text
editor (one XML-syntax aware is a plus, e.g. Architag XRay).

Cheers Peter - I found the following, after loading into NotePad:
<VerInfo_Locale>1033</VerInfo_Locale>
and changed the number to 2057.

Once I'd saved it, Delphi told me that the date/time had changed on the file and wanted to reload it. Did that, and the language/locale is now the UK.

Thank you,

Gerald.
