Embarcadero® C++Builder XE8 Version 22.0.19027.8951
Android 6.0.1.
Windows 10 Pro x64, 10.0.14393.

I occasionally encountered this issues, somehow, I resolved it by:

- chkdsk c: /f then restart the computer.
- exchange the external USB drive port where the source code to compile resided.
- plugin properly the notebook power plug.

...none of methods above able to solve the issues permanently,
I even can't compile a simple newly open VCL form project.

Any solution or info to fix it ?

[ilink32 Warning] Warning: unknown heap name : 0x08000000 / 0x08000000
[ilink32 Warning] Warning: Error detected (LME288)
[ilink32 Error] Error: Unable to perform link

However, after I tried the LAMARKER from http://cc.embarcadero.com/Item/30459
derived from the thread https://forums.embarcadero.com/thread.jspa?threadID=117663

Here is how to use LAMARKER.EXE to set ilink32.exe

1. download LAMARKER from the website stated above.
2. unzip it into C:\Windows
3. go to Administrator's command prompt
4. key in as C:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\Studio\16.0\bin>lamarker.exe -M -Filink32.exe <ENTER>
5. done.

Now, the linker able to link and all projects compiled successfully.

QUESTIONS:

1. is this the stable solution to LME288 link error ?

2. is this the stable solution when compiling for Android and iOS ?

3. is latest C++Builder 10.1 resolved this issues ?

Please advise.
