I have Delphi Berlin 10.1 with update 1.

How do I upgrade to Berlin 10.1 with update 2. I see it listed in My Registered User Downloads. The ISP is a 6.8 mb file so it looks like the full installation. Do I download it and install it over my existing 10.1 update 1 installation?

Will it screw up my existing configuration settings and/or third party controls? Will I need to reinstall any of them (third party controls)?

You help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Randall H. Carpenter

Which download are you referring to that is only 6.8 MB?? There are only
two downloads - the web installer (174.6 MB) and the full ISO (6.8 GB).
Are you misreading GB as MB on the ISO?

Numbered updates are usually not independant downloads, they are full IDE
installations with the Update applied. Update 2 is not a simple add-on that
you can install on top of an existing Berlin installation. You have to uninstall
the existing IDE first and then install the updated IDE.

Do I download it and install it over my existing 10.1 update 1 installation?

No. It replaces the current installation.

Will it screw up my existing configuration settings and/or third party
controls?

Notice that if you want to preserve your registry setting in this uninstall/re-install
cycle you should use the same installer technology of your most recent install.
Before you ask, the GetIt based installer this time will ask you if you want
to preserve your registry settings, and would make a copy and reapply them
after the installation completed.

Sorry. I made a type. I meant to indicate 6.8GB, the ISO download.

Yes, that is a full installation, and will uninstall the current installation.
