I have the 7 GB delphicbuilder10__upd1.iso on my hard disk. Message is "action cannot be completed because the file is open in system" when I try to delete. The file is dated 3/6/2016, so it should be long since done doing whatever.

I cannot delete it, and have checked that its attributes are normal.

I have run OpenedFilesView, which shows that the file is open three times, all with ProcessID 4 which is System (NT Kernel and System), which I probably cannot terminate (and none of the available options in OpenedFilesView work).

Any ideas on ways to delete the file and reclaim the 7 GB?

Most probably you've mounted the ISO file using the windows and never
unmounted it. Open the windows explorer and search for the mounted
drive then if you can find a drive right click on it and Eject.

Thanks. This was it. I had to use CyberLink to unmount it, but it was one of the choices on the popup when Eject was (and which failed).
