hello,

I build my first native android control, i start with Tedit that is one
of the most difficult (use the keyboard and the actionbar).

Someone to say what he think about it? i work very hard on it,
even need to learn the android source code to make it working ...

(svn) https://svn.code.sf.net/p/alcinoe/code/

or if you don't want to compile and prefer just run the apk on android :

http://tinyurl.com/zsamrbn (url of the compiled apk to install on android)

One of the advantage is for example auto correction like on this
screenshoot (on marshmallow and upper):
https://a.fsdn.com/con/app/proj/alcinoe/screenshots/Untitled-2.png/182/137

right now with the doublebuffered "basic" firemonkey controls (like
trectangle) and with native "complicated" controls (like Tedit) i can
say that developping delphi mobile app who can rivalise with A.S or
xcode is a true reality :)

Hi Loki

I have tried TALEdit components on android

great work, work fine, absolutely the best TEdit for Delphi mobile (free).

May you to create TALMemo ?
in my opinion, TMemo needs an alternative, even more of TEdit

Thanks Mida :)

Now that i create the framework for native android Controls, it's quite
easy to create another native controls, like TALMemo. i work on it right
now, in fact it's very easy to do because on android a memo is just a
edit with params Multiline to true :)

Hello,

can you use monitor.bat and look into the logcat messages when it
crashes? Maybe they give some hint.

Greetings

hmmm, thanks Mida, i didn't check yet on android 7.0 (android nougat)
because i don't have yet a mobile with nougat. could be interesting to
know why it's crash, can you see the error written in the logcat
before the app crash ?

Hi

I have test again your TALEdit, like a conversion of old FMX project

May you to add the support for:

Event:

- OnChange
- OnTyping

Property:
-MaxLength
-HelpContext
-StyledSettings

StyledSettings is for Windows enviroment only

Have you a Google+ page or other for more fast contact?

p.s.
add support for TALMemo would be helpful :)

thanks :)

May you to add the support for:

Event:

- OnChange

in fact i use only OnChangeTracking, that is in someway very similar to
onchange (i don't really see the necessary to have both onchange and
OnChangeTracking)

- OnTyping

this to, i guess OnChangeTracking is enalf, can't really understand the
real necessary of OnTyping. when we do native control, it's better to
use as less as possible of event because some platform may not support
such event

Property:
-MaxLength

yes, i will do, and it's not really hard to implemente

-HelpContext

i guess this will never be implemented because it's defined in
styledcontrols (as i remember) and i want to completely avoid the use of
styled control

-StyledSettings

never never and never ! i hate the styled control of delphi, it's one of
the worse think they made. I prefere to define the design of each
control on each control (like font, border, back color, etc.) than
inside this ugly and totally buggy styledcontrol

Have you a Google+ page or other for more fast contact?

yes, on skype, you can find it in the readme.txt file on the root

add support for TALMemo would be helpful :)

yes and it's will be very easy because android memo is just a edit with
multiline set to true :)
