I have upgraded to Windows 10 and my connections no longer work. I get the following:

Unable to complete network request to host "127.0.0.1/3050".
Failed to establish a connection.
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

I have created a rule for 3050 both incoming and outgoing, disabled firewall and nothing works.

I figured it out.

I have some problem, after update windos 10. I need to reinstall Interbase because I cant open any DB.
After that locally it works, but from remote I can't connect.

I connect using Remoteserver:Alias and I get error message :
Error when try to open file : Remoteserver:Alias

I don't understand which file can't open
1) Admin.ib or
2) my related DB defined in alias path.

If local is working, remote is not odds are this is a firewall issue. You might
want to try removing all firewall rules for InterBase then have them reapplied
(I think just on server startup, but might need to run the installer).

I stopped firewall , no result.
I allowed IBServer in Firewall app, no result

Remote PC can access disk and data on server with Explorer, but not with Interbase.

Any suggestion ?

Remote PC need no access to the disk. IB Server can't access DB files on remote
PC's. Try pulling the alias and make sure what you are getting is right.
IBConfigService has Alias manipulation functions including getting the aliases.
Make sure hte path is right and it is not a mapped or remote drive.

IBConfigService has Alias manipulation functions including getting the aliases.
I am at Delphi XE5 and I don't find Alias manipulation.
I looked into Ibservices.pas and GetAliasInfo is under TIBServer, but I can't imagine how to manage it and connect with IBConfigService.

Make sure hte path is right and it is not a mapped or remote drive.
Path is ok and it works in local version.

Look at the Admin sample on how to use the Alias stuff ($(SAMPLE)\Object
Pascal\Database\IBX\Admin). Remember also Aliases are case sensitive.

I tested AdminTool that has a page managing Alias. It uses TIBServerProperties.

Testing program I got unexpected results, when it retries Alias, these are not same Alias defined in Admin.IB table DB_ALIAS.

When TIBServerProperties perform AddAlias which table updates ?

What is the use of DB_Alias Table ?

It uses the API, it does not directly touch a table.

No idea. I never write directly to admin.ib, I only use the Service API for
alias work. That is what you should use too, never manually add an Alias in
case there are secondary things you don't know need to be set.
