This is supposed to work, but the registration complains about this:
http://imgur.com/hNhrDdx

The reason it is supposed to work is:
"3 Upgrade for registered owners of RAD Studio, Delphi XE6 or later (Pro/Ent)."

For some reason the Delphi installer is named radstudio10_1_esd.exe.

How long do I have to wait for them to contact me after a support request?

The silly thing is that RAD Studio Pro XE6 is installed on the same computer
and is shown in 10.1's license manager as registered. XE6 is also shown online on "My Registered Products".

Not to mention, the header of the purchase email is "Your Delphi 10.1 Berlin Professional - Upgrade from RAD or Delphi XE6 or later order".

The response from Emb is taking its time.. I've never gotten any response from them or their predecessors when I initiated contact..
Maybe I'm out EUR 1184 with nothing to show for it?

I'm beginning to get rather annoyed.
It looks like "never gotten any response" will include this time too..

A few hours ago I noticed that in the bottom right corner it of embarcadero store it said "Live chat is offline".
Now that note is gone, but live chat..doesn't exist.

This message usually means that the embarcadero account you are trying to
register the upgrade for does not have a previous qualifying product registered
on it. IOW you have 2 or more EDN accounts and you are not trying to register
it on the right EDN account.

You didn't say how you made teh support request. This link
http://support.embarcadero.com/ includes the creating of install support cases.

As I said, and as I were even more specific about in the Price Increase thread.
RAD Studio XE6 Pro users is listed among those that are eligible for upgrading to Delphi 10.1 Berlin Pro

The account I've used for many years already contains, among other things on the "My Registered Products" page:
"RAD Studio XE6 Professional Named User Upgrade from XE2 or later"
(I upgraded to that one from XE3)

I used the contact webpage, and after I filled the form it said:
"Your Embarcadero Registration / Licensing support case 00509827 has been created" etc.
But I haven't heard anything from them, nor have gotten a confirmation email (if there is supposed to be one)
of creating the case.

I created the case at: https://support.embarcadero.com/forms/
Oh, and "My duplicate accounts" says that I don't have any duplicates

It is now rather rather late, and after some sleep etc I still haven't heard from them.
The SA support looks promising..if registration/install support is something to go by. /s

Oh, and I copy/paste the edn login name (I've also tried using the mail address) directly from the login field in FF into
the license manager. Then I copy the pw from the password manager.

This is the same login credentials that let me in to the "My Registered Products" which contains RAD Studio XE6 Pro.
I've also tried activating through the procedure for offline registration ..but it results in the same error as above.
I can post the (censored) registration page to show it's there..

Edit: Here's my list of registered products (the registration codes has been cropped): http://imgur.com/qPr0xO7

The product was a license/registration, and that product doesn't work.
Nor do the registration "support", as they still haven't bothered to even acknowledge the case by email after 24+ hours.

Considering the above I wonder, is the purchased product really fit for purpose at this point?
I'm certainly beginning to regret purchasing it..
At that price it was a stretch to begin with, which is why I went for Delphi instead of RAD Studio.

Every single time I've bought a product from Embarcadero I was up and running in barely an hour (installation included), but
this time.. Well, lets just say I'm boiling with anger at this point.

I finally got to talk to a live person and they've apparently just resolved it.
Delphi 10.1 Berlin Pro is finally registered on my machine, and is now present in my account.

I guess the License Manager borked out somehow, so it didn't see my previous license.

Sorry for all the nagging, which were mostly because of frustration.

Thanks to Mr. Overcash who at least tried to help me. Not to mention, the support..which eventually came through for me.
