Yes, me ;-)

i always receive connection to forums.embarcadero.com timed out :(

Which nntp client do you use?

Make sure to
- set your nntp connection to use SSL on Port 563
- set to always require authentication

Me too, but for me it works. I'm using V45.0.
There was something about some crypto algorithms once if I remember
correctly.

Under extras/settings/extended there's a button "edit configuration".
Confirm the warning and set these 2 entries to false:
security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_128 and security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_256

Then retry.

- not use Thunderbird or whatever that MS thing is called these days.

Use a proper newsreader. Thunderbird is fine for mail, but for NNTP it
sucks. If possible, use XanaNews.

What app are you using to try to access?

I use XanaNews and do not have any issues using nntp.

I'm using XanaNews and I have in recent days been unable to access these forums. I get an error: "Socket Error #10054 Connection reset by peer"

I have not changed my XanaNews settings and they are all set as described in http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/38435

Olivier: I can't find a Configuration Editor. I have a Tools->Options on the main menu bar and, under Account Properties->Diallup Connection there is a reference to SSL required and Port. I also cannot see a 'security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_128_sha' anywhere.

Not in XanaNews, in Windows. But I don't think I have ever done that,
and all works fine here.

Hello,

I don't think you're right this time Rudy.
I guess the extended configuration of Thunderbird is meant.

Paul should read my reply to this thread from 28th April 19:34
where I describe what to do.

The question is about XanaNews, not Thunderbird.

I assumed you were talking about Thunderbird as this was the subject of
