How to manually activate Android platform in Delphi 10.1 Berlin?

I've just obtained a Samsung phone (S7 Edge) and thought it would be fun to try and create an Android app with Delphi Pro 10.1 Berlin.

No matter what I do, I can't get Delphi to offer Android as an available platform -- I have Win32 and Win64 already, and the only other option that is visible is OsX.

If I try creating a multi-platform app, android options don't appear. If I right-click on 'Target Platform' in the project window, the 'Add platform' option is grayed out.

I've tried manually installing the Android SDK and NDK as described in DocWiki articles, rebooted Windows 10, used colorful language, and even threatened to re-format the hard drive, all to no avail.

Is Android just not supported for the Professional level of Delphi? Or do I have to do some extra configuring that's not listed in the DocWiki articles for configuring the system and Delphi for Android support?

If there's some specific settings I can double-check (registry, system variables, etc.), I'll be happy to do so.

Thanks for any assistance!

Good luck. The debugger has issues with the S7 Edge :(

Sounds like you have not installed the Android platform into the IDE yet.
One of the new features introduced with the Berlin installer is the ability
to install/uninstall individual platforms as needed. Did you select the
Android platform when you first installed the IDE? Or used the new Feature
Manager to install the Android platform afterwards?

If I try creating a multi-platform app, android options don't appear.
If I right-click on 'Target Platform' in the project window, the 'Add
platform' option is grayed out.

Then you have not installed the Android platform yet.

Is Android just not supported for the Professional level of Delphi?

It is supported. However, did you install Delphi Professional, or RAD Studio
Professional? It makes a difference. For Delphi Professional, you need
to install a separate Mobile Addon pack:

https://www.embarcadero.com/app-development-tools-store/mobile-add-on-pack-for-delphi

For RAD Studio Professional, Android is included.

This is clearly stated in Berlin's Product Editions chart:

https://www.embarcadero.com/products/delphi/product-editions

And the Feature Matrix:

Hello,

did you only buy pro or the mobile add on pack as well?
because in pro only Windows development (and maybe OS X) is included out
of the box. Mobile needs the mobile addon pack for pro.

In Enterprise the mobile stuff is already available out of the box.

Thanks guys, looks like I need the Mobile add-on pack, since I only have Delphi Pro.
