Hello

I'm using the TscExcelExport components from scip.be
Their last version is for XE8 ver.

Does somebody know if they plan to deploy a new version for Delphi 10
I send a email to the developer but I didn't get an answer

Thanks Sorin

Disclaimer: I don't know this component. :-)
But if I'm not mistaken you have the source. Then just copy the package files (*.dpk, *.dproj etc.), rename them accordingly and open the renamed copies in D10, which will upgrade them. Afterwards you probably can compile and install the package(s) without problem.

Stefan has been in India for a while, but is home very recently. Hopefully, he'll reply soon.

One day I'll travel as much as he does ;-)

Thanks

The rename options doesn't work.
I guess I'll have to wait for the master

Add these lines to the top of scExcelExportConfig.inc and then compile and
install (after renaming as suggested by Ulrich).

{$IFDEF VER300} //XE10
{$DEFINE EXCEL2010}
{$DEFINE DELPHIXE10}
{$DEFINE DELPHIXE8}
{$DEFINE DELPHIXEORNEWER}
{$DEFINE DELPHI2010ORNEWER}
{$DEFINE DELPHI2006ORNEWER}
{$ENDIF}

Thanks Adem

I make a copy of all the XE8 files and rename them to XE10
Then I add the lines to the inc file but when I compile the ExcelExportPackXE10 file it's stop with the error:
"Can't load package ExcelExportPackXE10.bpl. The system cannot find the file specified"

Do I miss something?

I just downloaded the demo sources.

First thing I notice is this:

All files that are like 'ExcelExportPack*.dpk' are actually empty files --in
the sense that they do not bring anything to the table.

You may as well delete all 'ExcelExportPack*.*' files. You do not lose a thing
but you get rid of a lot of clutter.

Secondly, edit the 'dclExcelExportPackX10.dpk' (that you created from copying
another one and renaming it) so that 'ExcelExportPackXE10' is not in the
'requires' list.

IOW, it's contents should look something like this:

package dclExcelExportPackX10;

{$IFDEF IMPLICITBUILDING This IFDEF should not be used by users}
{$ALIGN 8}
{$ASSERTIONS ON}
{$BOOLEVAL OFF}
{$DEBUGINFO ON}
{$EXTENDEDSYNTAX ON}
{$IMPORTEDDATA ON}
{$IOCHECKS ON}
{$LOCALSYMBOLS ON}
{$LONGSTRINGS ON}
{$OPENSTRINGS ON}
{$OPTIMIZATION OFF}
{$OVERFLOWCHECKS OFF}
{$RANGECHECKS OFF}
{$REFERENCEINFO ON}
{$SAFEDIVIDE OFF}
{$STACKFRAMES ON}
{$TYPEDADDRESS OFF}
{$VARSTRINGCHECKS ON}
{$WRITEABLECONST OFF}
{$MINENUMSIZE 1}
{$IMAGEBASE $400000}
{$DEFINE DEBUG}
{$ENDIF IMPLICITBUILDING}
{$IMPLICITBUILD ON}

requires
rtl,
designide;

contains
scExcelExport in 'scExcelExport.pas',
scExcelExportReg in 'scExcelExportReg.pas';
end.

You'll notice I've got rid off the *.res line --not needed.
Plus, I added 'scExcelExport' in the 'contains' line --stops the compiling from
emitting a warning line.

Save it and compile and install.

And, finally, give my regards <NOT> to the /master/ for producing millions of
useless DPK files. Maybe he should travel less and produce better/leaner stuff.

Check the files path and Rebuild.
