[DCC Error] E2597 ld: file not found: L

With a new "Blank Application" deployed to a new iPadAir 2 I get the above ERROR.
Got it first in my real App and could not find an answer so I tried a virgin app.

Are you running the hotfix linker?

http://cc.embarcadero.com/item/30022

You are deploying how? As a debug app, ad hoc, or?

debug app. Not using hotfix. Do I need it for iOS8?

Yes it's for IOS8 but the error it is suppose to correct has to do with submitting to the app store.

Use the IPhone Configuration Utility: Device|Console to see the NSLog output and find out what the error is:

It never got to the iOS device. It was looking for a file named "L". Looking in deployment there is no file by that name.

Carlos with Embarcadero support was very helpful & said this is a bug to be fixed n Update 1. The problem is with shared folders. I moved my project from my Mac to a windows folder on C:. drive. This is not convenient for me since I also use Parallels as well as Fusion and I dislike Windows. There is a second bug when debugging into the device. After this bug I had to delete the iOsDevice folder and then I could again deploy. We need update 1 soon!

This error occurs again when you do not remove the iosdevice folder each time! But I found out, that it works if you do not use the \\psf\home... folder. Create a network share on the Mac and use this share. So you can connect to your files from outside Windows.

Edgar, the following:

--

is a signature separator (well, almost, a real one would be "-- ", i.e.
two dashes followed by a space and a newline). This means that in proper
news clients, the text following it shows as a signature and is easily
disregarded (and will not be quoted automatically, etc.etc.). BTW, that means
that this text is also shown as a signature, because of the dashes above.

So please, do not use -- to separate your reply from your quotes.

A little more on proper quoting:

FWIW, what follows is my signature:
